Vishe:sha:rtham:

The purushardhas are dharma ardha and ka:ma. Human beings have to wish for them

and work hard to get them. Depending on our past karma we get the ‘dharma

sraddha’ 'wealth and kaama' in this life. If they are against us then we can

pray to Lord and become a dhaarmika; we can earn riches; and enjoy the pleasures

of life too. But the one that gives us everlasting happiness is Bhagavadbhakti.

Not these things! Making this Bhagavadbhakthi the means – asking for dharma or

ardha or kaama or janmaraahithya is totally foolish like bartering pearls for

berries. So purushaardham means not these. Only bhakti is the purushaardham.

Kulasekhara realized that - 'bhakti should only be sought with devoted prayers'.
