Guest guest
Srimathe Ramanujayanamaha! Jeeyar Thiruvadigale saranam!! In Ayodhya the warriors were well trained and skilled to operate the ‘asthra:s’. They never killed the helpless, they also spared the only survivor in a family. They did not know to kill people from behind. They never attacked those running for life. There were many fit, strong muscled, ‘maha:rattha:s’ capable of safeguarding their ownselves, horses and the charioteer in the war field. Thus the kshatriyas were following a very high level of morality in life. The Brahmins were well versed in Vedas and veda:nga:s. They were intelligent and equal to rishies. They performed yajna:s. They could donate their money generously in the yajna:s. They were noble and believed in truth. They were thapo:nishta:s and maha:thma:s. The city of Ayodhya was crowded with such Brahmins. While describing the cities we see a difference between the descriptions of Ayodhya and Lanka. In Ayodhya people are described more; their traits and character are illustrated. In Lanka the army, the palaces, and their greatness are explained. This description proves the chief difference between human beings and demons. Good behaviour, character and dharma are important for human beings. We see their description in Ayodhya. Things that project wordly affluence like the physical strength and fabulous palaces are regarded important by demons. This is seen in Lanka. Here humanity on one side (ayodhya) and devilishness on the other side (lanka) are expounded. Jai Srimannarayana! Ramanujamma Mudumbai, Ramanuja dasi.
