Guest guest
Humble pranams to all, I would like to get clarified about what is the purpose of our ancients for keeping all these procedures and rituals in various day- to-day aspects of our life? Also, would like to ask what purpose does serve our Puranams say to the mankind ? (This question is not for arguing but for enlightment of the spiritual zeal and for implementation in our day-to-day lives for better progress) In almost all the sampradayas, every one follows differently according to their sastras. What happens to those who follow the sampradayas and anushtanams as prescribed by their elders and what happens to those who do not follow ? here i would like refer only to spiritualism and not of materialistic results. how a person will be progressed in spiritualism..by following these rituals.. What is their aim for advising us to follow. What is the Ultimate achievement and how these rituals will help a person? i would request members and elders to contribute their opinion and take my query positively. jai sriman narayana/GS
Guest guest
Jai Srimannarayana PURPOSE ??? I want to in a humble way try to give an anecdote as told by H H Chinna JeeyarSwamiji. What is real happiness? An air traveler borrowed a book from airhostess and returned with Many Thanks to the Airhostess while alighting. He also said that the book has been very useful to him. The airhostess got astonished and asked the traveler whether the book was really useful to him and he liked the book. The traveler replied " yes. The reading of the book has given me a good sleep. For that I should convey my thanks." The book is nothing but a dull "Indian five year plans and the implementation". The point is that he got happiness of sleep by the boredom created by the book he tried to read. He derived happiness not because of the book, but respite from boredom! Then how do you what is real happiness and what is real difficult situation. People try to answer the questions in a wrong way. It is seen that people who offer regular prayers and do pujas face many difficulties. Some happy go lucky people who do not indulge in these activities lead a happy life. This fact surprises some and irritates some. Some of the bhaktas of Jeeyar swami complain " see that fellow does not do any pujas etc but he is not having any problems. In spite I do all pujas, I am still suffering. Why? So, we shall also forget all these pujas and temples etc., Then Jeeyar swami tries to clarify this in his own persuasive way. " Look, More difficulties do come for Bhaktas only. The questions will be directed to the students who read. Even the examination is for students who read. The difficulties are like examinations only. He wants to wash away any defects form the bhaktas through difficulties. The person who does not have bhakti or pujas his happiness is not real happiness. A person, who takes drinks initially, feels he is taking nectar and the kick he gets is real Swarga. This is not true. Later he will realize that what he is drinking is not nectar but poison. His life will become full of problems. Then he will realize which is real Swarga and which is real Naraka. Before, we try to identify which is happiness and which is unhappiness; we should not jump to conclusions. We should not blame god for this. It is beyond our comprehension, which is real happiness. Guest guest
I humbly pranam for the reply and thanks for the same. . Sir, I accept and understood the contents of your message. But I tend to think which makes me to think towards spiritualism and to think myself as a Soul. As you said, some leads a happy life though they do not perform any pujas, etc. but the happiness what they are feeling may be on a temporary basis and relates to realization of materialistic desires and ending in leading of happy life. It is accepted fact that life is like a cycle. In this cycle every one has to face the troublesome situations at some point of their lifes. Here, I take sufferings. I put some effort in understand Karma factor and accordingly take enjoyments and sufferings based on it. Then, how a person (soul) will be benefited i.e. I would like to know the subtle changes undergoes innerly which may not be visible to eye..t to please forward few lines in these lines..for the benefit of Self. I have no intention of arguing other than for growing spiritual zeal... Humble Pranams to you, sir/GS
