Guest guest
Dear Dr.Vallabhaneni S. Rao Garu, You have asked: "In the following can any body see whether there is any mistake in the sixth line of the following and if there is no mistake, can some explain the meaning of "Streepumrupa "." It means "Form of female and male." Pum is Purusha. It is the root of Puman, Pungava, Pullinga, Pumstva etc. The invocation refers to All Pervasiveness[sarva Vyapti] of God and sees Him transcending gender divide. A parallel invocation is made by Nammazhwar: "He is not Man; He is not Woman; He is not of Neuter Gender; He cannot be seen; He is not present; He is not absent; He protects when adored; He reveals; He does not reveal. To talk about Him is full of complications." [Tiruvoimozhi 2-5-10]. The idea is that He cannot be compressed within our limited understanding. Regards, TCASrinivasaramanujan > if there is no mistake, can some explain the meaning > of "Streepumrupa ". > > Vaijayantimala Govinda > Vaddikasulavada Govinda > Vasudevatanaya Govinda > Bilvapatrarchita Govinda > Bhikshuka samstuta Govinda > > Streepumrupa Govinda > > Siva Kesavamurti Govinda > Brahmandarupa Govinda > Bhaktarakshaka Govinda > Govinda Hari Govinda Gokulanandana Govinda.
