Jeeyar Thiruvadigale SaraNam! 9th Sarga: Among the ministers of Dasaratha, Sumantra wished for his king’s welfare the most and he was elder to all others in age and in intelligence too. Some time back he heard Sanathkumara mention to other sages that Dasaratha should perform Putrakaameshti under the direction of Rushyasringa along with Aswame:dha ya:ga to beget sons. He secretly came to Emperor Dasaratha and intimated thus what he heard earlier, “Prabhu! Long ago Sanathkumara, while talking to the sages there, mentioned something about you getting children. I will put before you what all I heard. Kaashyapa had a son by name Vibhandaka and he had a son called Rishyasringa. He lived in woods, became a sage and performed yajna:s regularly. All this story did not take place when Sanathkumara spoke about you. Sanathkumaara who had the knowledge of future, predicted in the assembly of sages that all these things would happen this way in your life and I chanced to listen to their conversation. That Rishyasringa knew nothing more than following his father Vibhandaka and serving him. He knew only his father and his hermitage. In the next...... Jaisrimannarayana!
