Guest guest
We had our August Satsang at Anita and Dushyant Khambhati's home. We had group chanting of Guru Parampara, Lakshmi Ashtottara Shata Namam and the Vishnu Sahasra Naamam. The chanting was followed by a talk by Sreeman Shantaraamji. Shantaraamji is a Tatwapracharaka and a disciple of Sri Jeeyar Swamiji. He accompanied Sri Jeeyar Swamiji to the USA recently and he has been in Houston for last (3) weeks teaching children and adults various stotrams, bhajans, pranaayama and yoga. We feel fortunate to be associated with him and the training he provided to our children is invaluable. Sreeman Shantaraamji gave an inspiring pravachan in Hindi to the group. He started the talk by quoting from a Kabir Das bhajan, where a devotee is reminded to squeeze out some time from his busy routine and devote that time to Lord with love. He continued and with the narration of stories, he reminded us to trust the judgment of God and accept our lot in life as His will and becoming a tool in His hands. He asked us to cultivate and practice eternal values as taught by Sri Krishna in the 12th chapter of Bhagavad-Gita. He concluded the talk by invoking the famous mantra from Isavasya Upanishd " Bhuyestam Te nama vuktim videma", Bhagavan is extremely pleased with us when we offer our salutations to Him by saying Nama: to Him. It was an inspiring talk and the group expressed their appreciation to Shantaramji and invited him back to Houston in the future. The group thanked our hosts Anita, Ramaa and Padmakant Kambhati for their hospitality. It was a wonderful evening. With Pranaams froms Houston devotees to Pujya Sri Jeeyar Swamiji, Ramanuja Dasa, Jeevan Pulijal Jai Srimannarayana!
