Guest guest
Srimathe Ramanujayanamaha! Jeeyar Thiruvadigale saranam!! Generally celibacy is of two types. One is staying in the gurukula to learn veda:s before marriage, with no connection with any woman. Sa:sthras say leading married life with the spouse as ordained and permitted by them is also brahmacharya. Rishyasrunga was capable of practising those two types of celibacy. Staying with father, he spends his time serving him and the fire-god. At that time Romapada would be ruling over Angade:sa. Because of his misdeeds in the administration the kingdom would come under severe drought. Not knowing how to combat that dreadful drought, Romapada calls the experienced virtuous erudite well -versed brahmins and consult them how to tackle that drought. They would tell him if he would call Rishyasringa, son of Vibhandaka , to the capital and give him Sa:ntha in marriage, then there would be rain there. Emperor Dasaratha was Romapa:daa’s close dear friend. Sa:ntha was Dasaratha’s daughter. When Romapada, who had no children asked Dasaratha for Sa:ntha , he gave her to him as his daughter. She had to be given in marriage to Rishyasringa – but how will he come to the city leaving the hermitage? In the next .... Jaisrimannarayana!
