The happenings in the lives of great souls though appear to be contradictory to

the rules of dharma for normal perception, actually benefit the well being of

the universe on the whole. In Mahabharatha, Parasara’s union with Sathyavathi,

Vyaasa’s union with Amba and Ambalika appear to be against dharma at the

outset. But actually that was instrumental for the incarnation of Vya:sa and for

the beginning of Bharatha vamsa. In Bha:gavatha, Pari:kshith’s irresponsible

act of dropping a dead snake in the rishi’s neck and the rishi cursing the king

in retaliation appear to be against dharma. But that became the root cause for

Parikshith’s listening to Bha:gavatha from Suka Maharshi and consequently

redeeming this mankind. Vyaasabhagavaan was responsible for the emergence of the

two great works Srimad Bhagavad Gita and Sri Vishnusahasranamam in Mahabharatha.

Parikshit was responsible for Bhagavatha. Similarly the devadaasis alluring

Rishyasringa and bringing him to the kingdom of Anga appears as adharma. But if

there were NO Rishyasringa, there would be NO Rama avatha:ra. Hence we cannot

comprehend some of the actions of great souls. They become the basis for

accomplishing the hardest tasks in the future. We shall know how the devadaasis

had escorted Rishyasringa to Ramapaada’s kingdom.
