Guest guest
Adiyen Visualising the body "as an empty bag" is part of the daily Bhuta Shuddhi meditation practice which is in actual fact a preparation for the dying process. In this practice one visualises all the elements of the body dissolving in the pralaya krama - earth into water, water into fire, fire into air and air into ether. One then visualises the remnants beings dried up completely. The body is then best visualised as an empty glass case. One visualises Sriman-narayana above one's head and imagines that amrita is pouring out of his feet and totally purifying the body and mind. One then begins the srsthi krama which is the reconstruction of the body - ether becoming, air, air becoming fire, fire becomng water and water becoming earth. One's whole being is thus purified and regenerated. This practice is used as a preliminary to aradhana in Pancharatra.
