Guest guest
jai sriman narayana. recently, someone asked the question about some type of meditation where the meditator thinks this body is an empty bag..., >From what I have been taught and read in visistadvaita, I have the following comments on that answer given, and I welcome learned bhaktas to correct me if my comments are not in tune with ramanuja sampradaya. 1) bhuta suddhi is only a process (through chanting certain mantras)to gain a very sattvika sarira to engage in god's aradhana (because god has a suddha sattva sarira, and we have a pancha bhoutika sarira, the mantras allow us to gain the very sattvika saria, suppressing the rajo and tamo guna in our body) 2)In this process of bhuta suddhi you (sri ram) mentioned about the destruction and creation of this body (srusti krama), and that there are 24 elements involved in this process, which is correct, then how can you call(or even think/meditate that) this body an empty bag? adiyen, sreenivasa ramanuja dasan.
