Guest guest
JAI SRIMAN ANRAYANA! Asmath Gurubhyo Namaha! > In the valmiki ramayana, Sri Rama is said to > have worshipped Lord Shiva at Rameshwaram. I never heard of this in Valmiki Ramayanam. All our Acharyas say that this is not mentioned in Valmiki Ramayanam. > The vedas also acknowledge Lord shiva as a great god. While the Vedas acknowledge Lord Siva as a great god, the Vedas declare that Lord Sriman Narayana is supreme. > I was told that there are instances in the vedas > and kUrma purANam that Shiva, Vishnu and Soorya are > one and the same. Both of these puranas are considered to be Thamasic Purnas and can not help a mumukshuv who is seeking moksham. They may appear to be one and the same when it comes to granting material things. However, only Lord Sriman Narayana can grant moksham. The president, Prime minister, and the local officer are one and the same (they are the government) when it comes to get the waiver of a traffic ticket, but when it comes to some thing very important (like preventing a death sentence), sure the president and and the primeminister are different from the police officer. Every one is great and are better than us and are vandaniyas. However, only one person (Lord Sriman Narayana) has uncountable KalyAna GunAs. Try to search all the Vedic literature and all puranans etc and find any one equal to (or even one hundredth of) Lord Sriman Narayan in Kalyana Gunas. His is the supporter of EVERY BEING in the universe (NaranAm Aayanam and no body can function without His grace. ALL THE SAATVIK PURANAS (eg. Srimath Bhagavatham, Sri Vishnupuranam, etc.) declare Him to be the supreme. Thinking of Lord Sriman Narayana (and His device Avatharas) can lead one to moksham while thinking of the anya devathas will not lead to moksham. > Then why do the vaishnavites do not go to shiva > temple and recognize Shiva and do not accept Vaishnavas do not go to Shiva temple or the temple of any any a devatha as they do not grant moksham; on the other hand, these anya devathas could grant material boons which could bind us to more karmas and be a hurdle in the path of salvation. For example, please see the story of Vrikasura (basmasura), Ravanasura, Hiranyakashipu, etc. I invite you to kindly read Srimath Bhagavatham.
