Guest guest
Jai Srimannarayana Dasohams to lotus feet of our Swamiji, HH Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Chinna Srimannaryana Jeeyar Swamiji, Swami variki Tirunakshatra Subhakankshalu! Diwali is a graet festival for all of us, not becasue it is a festival of lights but becasue on this day the light itself is born to drive away Agyana andhakara in people. I would like to make a humble attempt to answer the question about translation to Sri Vishnu Sahasra Nama Stotramu. It is our Swamiji who kindled this light of quest to know our Dharama and Karma through various programmes. One of them is Akhanda Vishnu Sahasra Nama Stotra Parayanam , which is organised on Bheeshma Ekadasi day every year where in, more than eight hundred thousand devotees recite the stotram along with our beloved Swamiji Himself and the vaibhavam of Stotra is explained by H.H. I was blessed to be there on first ever programme held in VJA. It is from His divine vakku, I had learnt this great Stotramu. It is with Swamiji's blessings and divine grace we are conducting one Vishnu Sahasra Nama Satsang in Bahrain, a small island nation in Pesian Gulf. Every Saturday the Stotra is recited and meaning of each name is dicussed. We are also very happy to mention in this forum that the Shtotra is introduced to new people also. It is possible because of Swamiji's blessings and divine grace. Now the question of meanings. It is very important that we learn these meanings only from authentic source. For our Sampradayam the vyakhyaanam of Sri Parasara Bhattar is only the reference. Very recently the Andhra Vyakhyanam to this great Shtotra is published in a gandoise manner by Satsampradaya Parirakshana Sabha, Warangal. The Vyakhyata is U.Ve. Sri Na.Cha.Raghunaadhaachaarya Swamiji, who was the receipient of first Gopalopayana Puraskaaram in 1997, instituted by our great Swamiji. The meanings have been explained in Telugu, along with actual vyakhanam of Sri Parasar Bhattar. [ This can be obtained from JETUSA by sending email to ] There is also an ineteractive learning CD Sri:Vishnu SahasrNa:ma Stho:tram & Sri Lakshmi Asto:thara Sathana:ma Stho:tram, released by JET. In this CD besides recitation, meanings to all 1000 namas are blessed individually by Prof. A. Srinivasa Ragahvan and Sri S.Satyamurty Ayyangar in simple English. [ This can be obtained from JETUSA by sending email to ] The fruits of any activity, including devotional are derived in it's fullest form and glory only when it help individauls to become better human beings. The two princilples given by our swamiji: Worship your own and Respect All and Serve all beings as Service to God. Any dosham in above may be forgiven and corrected.
