Guest guest
Jai Sriman Narayana! Sriman Anbil Ramaswami Garu: I understand your problems. However, for arjitha sevas you should send a demand draft in rupees only in favor of TTD drwan on a bank in Tirupathi or Tirumala. The TTD arjitha seva office can not handle any other kind of payments. You should never send personal checks or even drafts in dollars for arjitha sevas. Such checks usually end up in general account or hundi account. They have to be first submitted for encashment, and when the amount is credited to the TTD account, there is no mechanism for the Bank to inform the arjitha seva office. The TTD specifically says that Demand Draft in the proper amount has to be sent\ for the seva. Similar thing happened to me in 1982, and ever since, I have been sending DDs only and never had any problem. With all glories to Lord Sri venkateswara, and with dasohams to you, I remain, Sincerely Narender Reddy >For example, We sent a couiple of years ago,a check for US$ 1000/= to TTD for what was touted as "Dasa Vrusha Seva", promising so many perks including free accommodation, admission to all the Sevas on the day required every ?year for a period of 10 years. But, what we got was a non-descrepit receipt showing it as for "Hundi". Several complaints pointing out the mistake went unheeded. When contacted, it was learned that they had taken it as a credit of US $ 100/= and as for "Hundi". There was none in the TTD willing to own responsibility or to set right the mistake till today, even though documentary evidence was made available to them. Only the Lord knows where the $1000/= had been stashed and who has misappropriated it. Anbil Ramaswamy
