Srimathe Ramanujayanamaha!

One could at once recognise Rishyasringa on seeing his figure. He asked those

devadaasis, "Our ashram is nearby. You all please visit our hermitage and I will

be privileged to worship you all there." They all readily agreed and went there.

He offered them ‘arghya’ and ‘paadya’, fruits and roots. They received his

worship and hugged him and made him eat the sweets they brought and decided to

leave fearing that Rishyasringa’s father Vibhandaka might arrive there any

moment and hurl curses at them for their misbehaviour. They took leave from him

with the excuse of getting late for their daily rituals and hastened away from

the ashram. Rishyasringa had never tasted such delicious foods till then.

Neither had he seen such lovely ladies earlier! Even though he was unaware of

these, the effect of the powerful senses tempted and shook his mind. His mind

was disturbed with their thoughts and his heart was occupied with them. He

longed to meet them again and so next day he went to the very place where he met

them earlier. The ladies too arrived there expecting him. They enticingly told

him, "You please grace our hermitage and we will be blessed by worshipping you

there." He obeyed their words and followed them to the city. As he entered the

city it started raining. Romapaada was elated on seeing Rishyasringa who brought

showers with him. He prostrated before him and worshipped him devotedly. He

conveyed the matter with out arousing his anger and pacified Rishyasringa. He

gave him his daughter Saantha in marriage and kept him in his royal palace.

Rishyasringa stayed there in peace being woshipped in all respects.(10th sarga

concluded.)
