Guest guest
Srimathe: Ramanujayanamaha! Sri Jeeyar Thiruvadigale Saranam!! (11th Sarga commenced.) Sumanthra continues his narration of Sanathkumaara maharshi’s story to king Dasaratha thus : " A virtuous king by name Dasaratha would be born into the Ikshwaaku dynasty who would be truthful. He would befriend the king of Angade:sa. Angaraja’s son Romapaada gives his daughter Santha to Rishyasringa in marriage and keeps them in his palace. Then Dasaratha would approach Romapaada and request him, 'Oh! king! I'm childless. You have to send Santha's husband Rishyasringa to my kingdom along with me to conduct the yajna so that I could get a son." Romapaada agrees and sends his daughter and Rishyasringa with him. Rishyasringa would go to Ayodhya with the king and as per his prayer accepts to conduct the yajna under his aegis. Thus Dasaratha would successfully accomplish the yajna under his supervision and would get children. In the end he would even attain the heavenly abode. As a result of that yajna he would beget four sons renowned in all the celestial worlds, highly valourous and enhance the fame and name of that vamsa." He also said that all these things that would happen in the far future were foretold by Sanathkumara. Sumanthra added that he had heard him saying thus in the Krithayuga and his words are coming to happen and so the king should personally go to king Romapaada to request him and bring Santha and her husband to the kingdom. On hearing the story, Dasaratha took the permission of Vasishta and went to Angade:sa accompanied by his queens, ministers and staff. (To be continued...) Jai srimannarayana! Mudumbai Ramanujamma ramanujadasi.
