Guest guest
Sri: Srimathe Ramanujaya Nama: Nanjeeyar once asked Bhattar "All the Azhvars are always concerned/worried about Krishna. What is the reason behind this?" Bhattar replied "In the Rama avatar, all the children of Dasaratha were strong. Dasaratha himself was powerful. His minister was the sage Vasishta. The city itself was Ayodhya and the time was Treta yuga. Therefore, there was no fear about that avatar. Krishna on the other hand was born in Kamsa's jail. Kamsa sent many asuras to try to kill Krishna. Krishna's father was a mere cowherd. He Himself grew in the cowherd colony. The time was the end of Dvapara yuga, just before Kali yuga. Seeing all of this, Azhvars were concerned about the Krishna avatar." Bhattar added "In addition, a loss that happened a long time ago in the past is easy to bear. But that which happened in recent times is hard to take. The other avataras of the Lord happened way in the past. But Krishna avatar happened just before the advent of the Azhvars. This is like food that is taken to the mouth but is missed as it hits the teeth and falls out. Therefore, Azhvars are more aware of this avatar". Jai Sriman Narayana!
