1.why in srisampradya a women are not permitted to utter the word 'OM'?!

ANS: IN OUR SRI SAMPRADAYAM THERE IS NO RESTRICTION TO LADIES TO CHANT "OM".

OUR ACHARYAS GIVE UPADESAM OF ASHTAKSHARI TO LADIES ALSO, ALONG WITH "OM" KARAM

ONLY.

2. Can a female chant 'Sahasranama parayanam' when she has her monthly cycle

schedule?! What other mantras/slokas chanting can be done during this time?

ANS: CHANTING MANTHRA IS RESTRICTED DURING THE MENSTRAL CYCLE TIME. NO

ANUSHTTANAM IS NEEDED TO BE OBSERVED THEN. EVEN THEN, DWAYA MANTHRAM CAN BE

CHANTED, FOR IT HAS NO RESTRICTIONS. ALL OTHER STHOTHRAS LIKE SRIVISHNU

SAHASRA NAMA ETC., MAY BE CHANTED WITHOUT ANY HESITATION. THERE IS NO RULE

PRESCRIBED TO CHANT STHOTHRAS BY ANYBODY OR AT ANY TIME.
