China Jeeyar's yagnam to please Gods

 

Vijayawada, March 21: Sri Tridandi Srimannarayan Ra-manuja China Jeeyar Swami

launched the first-of-its-kind Sriramanavami Prayukta Brahmayagna Sahita Krishna

— Vasantotsavam, a sacred mission to please the Goddess Earth and Mother Nature,

along the sand bunds of river Krishna, christened Krishna Vasantapuri here on

Sunday.

 

Earlier, Jeeyar gave a discourse on Tarana Nama Samvatsara Panchangam and

observed the sacred rituals of purging the river Krishna — Krishnaveni Nadhi

Puja and offering prayers to cows — Gopuja.

 

During the 10-day programme, the Jeeyar would reside in a make-shift cottage and

observe several phases of Nadhipuja and Gopuja, amidst continuous chanting of

Ramayana Samohika Parayanam.

 

The organisers have set up hundreds of thatched structures with a room for over

25,000 in the Krishna Vasantapuri and provided all basic amenities like food,

shelter and water.

 

Meanwhile, a heavy influx was observed in the dining hall where the organisers

made food arrangements for over 25,000 people, provided each pilgrim produce a

slip filled with the word Rama for a fixed number of times.
