Priya Srimath Bhagavad Bandhus!

Jai Srimannarayana!

 

The king Dasaratha wanted to coronate Sri Rama, his son, as the King of Ayodhya.

He was himself, a great Dharmic. Priests and Puro:hits, guided him were no less

than Vasishtta etc., very great scholars in all respects. Their say was the

Veda. All the people of Ayodhya, without any exception, wanted Sri Rama only as

their king. Now, what is required? To be frank with you, nothing is needed.

 

For one, to sit on the throne and rule the country, there were no elections, no

waiting for results, no question of selling out the party tickets, no questions

of black-mailing the leaders, no money disbursments, purchasing of votes was not

there, no tankers of alcoholic drugs pumped into the mouths of innocent people,

no tamperings of computers .... Nothing was there. All that needed to one, to

become a king were came to Srirama on their own.

 

Yet .. .. ..Sri Rama was not coronated. He went into the forest on the same

Muhurtham. He was forced to stay there for 14 long years. Lost Sita, faught

with Ravana. Got her back, of course, and gained the kingdom back.

 

Often, we question ourselves,why the great Srirama himself, has to experience

all these miseries!!!?

 

There will be some reason behind every event, which may be best known to the

Lord of this Universe, ultimately leads to good only. Because the very purpose

of Creation itself, is to help the souls of this universe, that were hooked to

this Nature.

 

Hence, we need not get "much" worried, when we encounter with some 'unexpected

incident'.

 

Let me now put the issue directly before you, rather than beating round the

bush.

 

Our program to US was first fixed up from 25th of May to different places. All

was set for journey, except purchasing the tickets. Even those tickets were also

blocked with airlines. We also, were very much exited to see the date and jump

into the flight at once, so that we can see you all soon.

 

All of you know it very well that some trouble is there with the TTD people.

They are acting indiferently since a few months. They want us to keep away from

them, so that they can ruin anything they want there, on Tirumala Hills. They

want that the name of Acharya Ramanuja should be erased in a very systematic

planed manner. This was initially started by constructing Sri Vaikuntham ( que

complexes) some years ago. Ramanuja Vanam arranged by the disciple of Acharya

Ramanuja, Ananthazwan by name, who sacrificed his whole life for the promotion

of the temple and it's sanctity and promotion. Nobody was able to smell the

plan, in those days.

 

But, when the Mada Veedhi was disappeared, Ananthazwan's house was grounded

along with 1000 pillared mandapam, big road was drawn in the plan, even the

historic Ha:thhiram Babaji's Mutt also was included in the list of the

constructions to be removed, the front high-elevated hill was smashed to almost

12 feet down, equalizing to the front road at the Main door of the mail

temple.........then people started smelling the plan of TTD. Some unauthorized

advisers were the main reason behind all this distruction, constantly

'managing' TTD authorities to obey their suggestions. Those advisers were

probably not liking or hating the only existence of Ramanujacharya's Murthy in

the temple.

 

They did not want the Ramanuja's System of worship in the temple, hence the

pains 'management' were borne by them.

 

Somany people interfered into the issue and messed up the whole thing. Now, the

TTD suddenly recognised the local Jeeyar Swamy, provided him a few monitory

benefits which were infact very few of the whole, what he authoritatively has

to get from the TTD on demand, and passed a resolution saying that his is the

final say, so far as rituals are concerned. And they thought that the

'unnecessary controversies ' of others (ours) will be ended up by this.

 

Infact, this is a welcoming step of the TTD if the Jeeyar Swamy could stand for

the Lord. If he is able to say something against the mishaps of the rituals etc.

He is always very generous in saying that "all is well and FEEL GOOD" with

whatever is happening. Thus TTD wants to fire through his sholders, on us.

Actually speaking, that Jeeyar is the person to control everything and everyone

of the TTD, not only the rituals but also other issues like administrative

affairs etc., as ordained by Our Great Acharya Ramanuja. That has to be

established now.

 

TTD is playing in it's own way, showing as if they are listening to us, but

proceeding in their own way, dragging the time till the results of the elections

are announced, so that they need not listen to us at all.

 

Meanwhile, Vaikhanas Archakas, started building up bad stories against us,

forming groups through out many districts, joining non-vaishnava monks, hating

Ramanuja and his system, creating their own forces.

 

Having this as background, we now came to Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh, where the

Kumbha Mela for Kshipra River is taking place. It will be ended tomorrow the 4th

May,2004. Day after tomorrow will be the Lunar Eclipse in the night. Lakhs of

people will take a sacred dip in the river. The number may be around 50 to 60

lakhs, who take dip in the river with religious fervour.

 

Local Vaishna Saints invited us here, to take this sacred dip in the Kumbha

Mela. Also they wanted to know, what is happening there in Tirumala. We never

attended these Kumbhas so far, scared of the crowds. But the resistance of the

local Muhunths brought us here on 30th April to Indore. Stayed in Indore for 2

days and yesterday, we went to the river and had a divine dip, along with the

group of devotees. The experience was inexplicable, divine and the feel was

serene.

 

In the evening there was a big congregation of about 80 Mahanths and many

devotees. A Mahanth means, one Vaishnava Acharya having a big Mutt and a lot of

following behind him. There are big mahants and small mahanths also like us.

Many things were discussed.

 

There was amazing support from all the mahanths and devotees, saying that they

are ready to do anything, including sacrificing their lives, if necessary for

the sake of protecting Sampradaya, and said that they are ready to follow us. It

gave us tremendous, Himalayan strength. They asked us to organize one Vaishnava

Dharma Sammelan at Tirupathi, where all of they come in lakhs and show their

concern over protecting the Sampradaya there.

 

We immediately contacted HH Sri Vanamamalai Jeeyar Swamy to advise us in this

matter. He graciously accepted to do so and said that 12th & 13 of June, 04

will be suitable to organize such huge congregation, where everyone can attend.

Time is not enough if it will be earlier. And there won't be time to Jeeyars to

attend, if it were after July 2nd, for the Chaturmasyam will be commenced to

them.

 

All other Mahanths said 'yes' for those two days. People who believe in Ramanuja

and Sasthras, temple and it's sanctity, faith in Lord Venkateswara in

particular, will be attending the Sammelanam.

 

Vaishnava Jeeyars, Mahanths and other heads, irrespective of whether they are

thengalai, vadagalai, madhva, nimbarka, ramanandeeya, goudiya, swamynarayaniya

etc., etc., will be invited from South and North and also from Nepal and other

places. Rough expectation of participation in this Sammelanam may be around 3

to 4 lakhs of devotees of Lord Venkateswara.

 

Now, when this is decided by all, we started thinking of our programme and were

at cross roads. Finally, we have decided to stand for the cause of Lord

Venkateswara's original place, Tirumala Tirupathi. If this is there, other

temples will be there. If it is disturbed other temples also will be at stake.

Hence decided to change anything for the sake of Lord. If our existance is

there, then we can do anything. If that itself is lost? That is the reason why

we have decided to change the US programme slightly.

 

First part of our programme will be disturbed, no doubt. Later part from 18th

June, programe can be continued at it is. There need not be any changes.

Disturbed programme may be shifted to the end. Cut this part and paste it at the

end of the existing programme. How will it suit?

 

We know it pretty well, many devotees are hurt by this change if it is just our

own decission. But we strongly believe that there must be some god's power

working behind, like that worked behind Sri Rama, sent him to the forest, but

gave him ultimately the whole world as his own property. So also now, for us,

the same power may be working behind, to establish that Lord Venkateswara is the

Lord of Lords and Everything At His Sannidhi should be performed according to

the system laid down by the Great Acharya Ramanuja and preserved till now, by

the great grand lineage.

 

This may satisfy our Bhagavad Bandhus to bear with the changes made in the

programme.

 

We will ask our Jet Board Members and Sri Ponnala to explain the situation to

all and co-ordinate with you all.

Pranamam to Sri Chinna Jeeyar swamiji. We are really amazed to hear

that all mahantas are supporting you on this TTD issue and we are pleased about

the huge congregation that is going to be performed in Tirumala. We always need

swamiji's katasham whether he is in India or in US.

We hope Lord Srimannarayana will lead all of us in the path of great

acharya Sri Ramanuja through our chinna jeeyar swamiji and give our swamiji all

strength and support for his divine work to save the acharya sampradayam.
