It housed the following: Tirumala One Town police station, rest room and toilets

for police personnel, office of the circle inspector (law & order), crime

sleuths station, hotels, supermarket, photo studios, electricity department rest

rooms, rest room for temple drummers and armed police personnel, counters and

cash chests of various banks, museum, employees’ canteen and 30 other shopping

establishments.

wrong to say that the mantapam was not used for any religious purposes and is

simply standing there.

 

In the inscriptions by King Saluva Narasimha Raya, available now, it is

mentioned that Pavitrotstavam for Lord was held for five days in the mandapam.

Perumal used to come and stay there for 5 days. Also during Ka:rthika Masa Dwaja

Rohana was done here. Diffrent types of prasadams that need to be prepared along

with the measurements have been clearly described.

 

What more certification does the place need to get the religious sanctity.
