Priya Sriman Chalapathi garu !

Here are some of the facts being given as a reader of the Hindu. This may be

sent to the Paper and see that this be published some how so that it would give

solace to some of the devotees and open up the eyes of the priests and those who

are supporting him.

***********************

The statements given by the priest of the Tirumala, Ramana Dikshithulu

reveal his ignorance of the history of the temple and also shows his

incompetence in the sacred scriptures of the temple and the Agamas. After so

much of discussions started on the subject he should have atleast referred to

the publications of the inscriptions. Let him refer to the "Inscriptions" Vol-2

Page 24, published by TTD referring to the serial No:18 of the inscription order

No 157 T.T. It was clearly mentioned that Saluva King Malladeva constructed the

1000 pillared Mandapam during 18.1.1464 AD. In this Mandapam the following

celebrations were performed till recent years. Lord Srinivasa along with mother

used to come into this Mandapam and receive the following Sevas.

1. In Sravana Month, Pavithrothsavams for 5 days

2. On Karthika Powrnami day

3. On the first day of Bramhothsavam when Dhwajaroha

is performed.

In the inscription the details about all the

preparations to be made were also discussed in detail. After these lazy priests

have come , they have stopped performing the above sevas in that Mandapam, some

how to escape and evade some of the duties and exercise of the tradition. Many

other publications printed by T.T.D say that this 1000 pillared Mandapam was

used for religious purposes. If this priest is ignorant of the things he should

keep quiet, but, should not say wrong things as if he knows everything. There

are records and evidences and many documents giving importance and purpose each

and everything on the Tirumala Temple.

The fate of the temple is like this today

because of such incompetent, unqualified priests. This priest who collected

lakhs and lakhs of rupees illegally from devotees for doing pujas in their

houses and offices and factories should now keep away from the temple, otherwise

the Government or the people have to throw him off for his misconduct,

misleading statements and for confusing public and cheating people in the name

of God. Instead of taking disciplinary action on these priests, holding those

files in their hands, TTD authorities are blackmailing the priests to give

statements in their favour. 72 crores of God's hundi money has become the big

deal for TTD authorities for big 'benefits' in return, at the cost of temple

divinity and traditions. If these people are left like that they will swallow

the whole of the temple in the name of "Public Facilities".

It is the TTD authorities who misused the

Mandapam to "avoid" certain sevas which yield no money but just an exercise of

tradition ! To take excuse, they allowed construction of bathrooms etc., laddu

counters etc. in the Mandapam. This commercial outlook and secular outlook in

the temple tradition and its customs, just to use them for some selfish benefits

has ruined the glory of the temple. It is very clear that this priest also

doesn't know proper sanskrit. If he had ever read the wonderful history of Sri

Venkateswara, the Mahathmyam of Lord Sri Venkateswara, the original text from

Purana, hw would not have said that it is right to build one more prakaram. Did

he ever read "Bhavishyoththara Purana" which reveals about how many prakarams

and Gopurams did Lord ordained on "Thondaman" the King who constructed the

temple ? There were evidences about this Lord and his tradition in not one or

two but in 12 Puranas.

Let these priests be properly educated before

they enter into the post of the temple. After all, a private firm, gives

training to any person before being taken into the job about its company and its

history. Shouldn't these priests be properly trained in the sacred history and

divine tradition of this temple, that reflects on the faith of millions of

people visiting everyday? This ignorance and negligence on the part of the

administration and the Government, is now showing its worst ugly face on the

society regarding the temple of tirumala. Why didn' t the TTD staff,

responsible staff be properly trained on the original customs and usages of the

Temple tradition and its history ? If they have no faith on the evidences,

inscriptions, history or the tradition of the temple then they should not be

allowed into the responsible post of the temple.

TTD authorities are being misled by

these incompetent priests, which has become an advantage for them to more

commercialise the temple and its traditional activities ! There is no bit of

'devotion' or the attitude of 'service to God' in any of these priests, who are

working there as a job, taking all the privileges, using name of God and their

post authority as a earning point for selfish needs.

Both the statements regarding 1000

pillared Mandapam or Mahaprakaram, made by the priest Ramanadikshithulu are void

and public should not be confused with the statements made by incompetent

people. There are many many evidences to prove that 1000 Pillared Mandapam is a

part of main temple and also "Mahaprakaram" is just a commercial project that

violates, Puranas, Agamas, Vasthu, Sasthras and the very history of the temple.

Government should reconstruct the 1000 pillared Mandapam on the same site at the

same height, this would atleast say to the future generations that a landmark

having more than 600 years of history was existing showing the heritage of our

land. The construction of new Prakaram should be shunned at all costs to

maintain the divinity of the temple. Otherwise they have to face the bitter

response of the public.
