Guest guest
Respected Swami Ji, Hindu Bandhus & Bhaginis: I have followed the Tirumala Tirupati events with much anguish and disappointment. I belong to the second generation of Hindus whose ancestors migrated to East Africa at the turn of the 19th century. Idi Amin drove my people out of Uganda. We are called "Asians" in East Africa, hold no political power and are frequently attacked in the media as a result of our economic success. Locals kill many of our people and we live in constant fear for our lives. Locals refer to us as "Muhindi", a derogatory term that is derived from the Arabic word "Wa Hindi" for a person from India. I find it especially painful that Hindus are persecuted in their own homeland by a handful of anti Hindu and anti national thugs. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of interest from the so-called bastions of Hindu rights such as the RSS, VHP, Bajrang Dal and the mighty Shiv Sena. I often come across past issues of RSS' "Organizer" which show photographs of massive rallies at Nagpur. I must confess the sight of the faithful RSS volunteers that assemble at the rallies baffles me. The never-ending rows and rows of, what would appear like highly disciplined, uniformed and devoted Hindus, and their sheer numbers are mind-boggling. From the pictures, the rows appear to be sans fin. Where are all these people now? Even if a fraction of these RSS volunteers were to congregate and protest against the hateful media and government offices, the impact would be an effectual one. Their silence is overwhelming. I feel the Hindu Human Rights (HHR) group of UK might be a useful group in promoting our cause. The Hindu Human Rights group that is formed by a group of UK Hindus, most of who are second/third generation born outside of India. HHR is not connected to the RSS or the VHP and appears to be an effective and well-organized group that might be able to help publicize the attacks on Tirumala Tirupati. Recently, HHR has had successful campaigns against anti Hindu forces. Details are available on their website at http://www.hinduhumanrights.org If there is interest, please contact the HHR group for their assistance and support. If we fail to protect our heritage, even our Gods will not come to our aid. The power to do something lies in our hands. Organized action plans need to be initiated in Bharat. For example, effective immediately, ALL Hindus should boycott the businesses that advertise in the anti-Hindu media. The advertisement revenues are vital for the sustenance of the media. It is the lifeline to their survival. Cut off the money supply, pinch where it hurts the most and we might see some positive results. And to my dear peace-loving Hindus, who might be the Gandhian types, such a boycott can be conducted quite effectively by non-violent ways! Vande Mataram.
