Sage Vaasishta called them all and instructed thus, “All of you should do the

assigned jobs during the yajna as per the royal order. Get thousands of bricks

ready. Construct special guest - houses for the royal invitees. Create places of

stay suitable to the traditional practices of Brahmins. In all the palaces,

arrange for delicious suitable foods for the guests. Have spacious rest-houses

for all the citizens ready. Have suitable guest houses for the rural guests too

ready. You have to receive them all with due honour worshipping them with sandal

paste etc., Don’t be disrespectful either to friends or foes. Treat all the

sculptors and other men appointed for the different tasks with respect and

concern. Satisfy them all with food and wealth fitting to their status. Every

thing should go smoothly. All should feel contended. There should be no lapses.

Show your hearty love and affection to all the invitees. Do all your duties

with commitment and interest.” On Vaasishta’s command all the people commenced

their work.
