Guest guest
Jai Srimannarayana to all devotees! (Taken from Sriman T.P. Ramachandracharya's 'Manasu - Maata') Our elders say we should do ‘Sathvika thyaaga” before doing any karma either it is nithya karma or naimitthika karma. We daily recite before doing our daily worship - “Swashe:shabhuthena mayaa sweeyaih sarva parichchadaih vidhaathum preethamathmaanam devah prakramathe: swayam.” I belong to Him alone and I am at His disposal to be used by Him the way He wants to, and with the things which are His, Bhagavan is getting the aara:dhana done by me for His ‘preethi’. The derived ‘preethi’ is His, tools are His, we – who are doing the worship – are His possessions. What is there that is ours or for our sake in this? Everything is His. Everything is for Him. So whatever you do as an offering to Him is not binding on your part. What all we do is on Bhagavan’s command. What all we do is as Bhagavan’s service. What all we do is for Bhagavan’s happiness. We should know this secret and do whatever we do. In Bhagavat Gita Bhagavan said ‘Yathkaro:shi, yadaSna:si, yajjuho:shi, dadaasi yath, yatthapasyasi, Kounthe:ya! Thathkurushva, madarpaNam. Arjuna whatever you do, whatever you eat, whatever offerings you make to the fire, whatever you offer to whomever, whatever penance you do – you offer all that to Me. Here Swami says ‘I will take you to the right perfect place you have to reach without getting you entangled in bondages, without letting you fall into the swirling depths of whirlwinds, without allowing you sink into the abysses. It is my responsibility. Why do you doubt?” The same thing had been said by Vedaantha Desika in the manthra which had been in practice during his time ‘yathkaro:mi yadaSnaami yajjuho:mi dadaamiyath yatthapasyaami govinda ! thathkaro:mi thvadarpaNam. For those who are too delicate to utter even this much here are the powerful words. ‘sarvam srikrishNaarpaNa masthu!’ Let us all cultivate the habit of saying this. Repeat once again. ‘SARVAM SRIKRISHNAARPANAMASTHU’ Jai Srimannarayana! Ramanujadaasi.
