Guest guest
Srimathe Ramanujayanamaha! Jeeyar Tiruvadigale Saranam!! There was abundant free distribution of food during the time of yajna. During those days none was found hungry or tired. There was no Brahmin who was not an erudite scholar of Vedas or sasthras. Each Brahmin had about one hundred followers doing the recitation part in the yajna bhumi. Not the Brahmins alone but the servants too enjoyed proper food. There were the digambara Sramanas and mendicants having food. The old, the sick and the ladies had freedom to have the food of their choice. All the guests had scrumptious meals and were happy, as the hosts were courteous too. The people were not tired or satisfied of serving food to countless guests. Under the encouragement of the officials to give food and clothes, thousands of volunteers were distributing them to tens of thousands of people. There were large hills like heaps of rice was visible. Every day during the yajna the Brahmins ate the different tasty foods and were describing and praising their delicious taste. When they were saying, ‘Oh! We are satisfied. Prosperity and Victory to our king!’ Dasaratha was elated. The volunteers dressed in costly clothes fine jewelry and in full make-up served the food. They did the duty with interest, honor and commitment. (To be continued…) Jaisrimannarayana! Ramanujamma, Ramanujadasi.
