They raised 15 crest gates on September 23. A flood of

about 25,000 cusecs was recorded at the barrage on the

day.

 

The levels in all the reservoirs of the Krishna River

look encouraging on Tuesday, according to Irrigation

Department sources.

 

The water level in Nagarjuna Sagar reservoir that is

receiving 40,000 cusecs is 537 feet above the mean sea

level (MSL) against the full reservoir level of 590

feet MSL. The reservoir had 263.9 tmc feet of water

compared to the 177.17 tmc feet on June 23.

 

The discharge from the dam is, however, only 1,400

cusecs. At Srisailam, an inflow of 51,800 cusecs and a

discharge of 37,800 cusecs has been recorded.

 

The reservoir had 247.3 tmc feet of water today,

compared to the 37.16 four months ago.
