Guest guest
Jai Srimannarayana ! Srimathe Ramanujaya Namaha ! Srimannarayana Ramanuja Yathibhyo Namaha !! Adiyan, I , Kalyan Rapolu Ramanuja Dasa, am student of Villanova University, Pennsylvania. I joined my college in August 2004. We have an Indian Students Association in our college. I wanted to start 'Vishnu Sahasranama Parayanam' along with 'Hayagreeva Sthothram' on one sunday per month with all Indians in our college. So that every month we'll meet and do Paarayanam on one sunday. I believe that chanting Vishnu Sahasranamam among students will help us to go in right path. But I have a problem, many of my friends believe other Gods apart from Lord Vishnu. They may ask me to chant 'Lalitha Sahasranamam' and other sthothras along with Vishnu Sahasranamam. I am not at all interested to chant any other sthothrams except Vishnu Sahasranamam. They dont believe that Lord Vishnu is the ultimate God of the World. They dont even try to accept that . Shall I agree for chanting other sthothrams along with Vishnu Sahasranamam by all of us. I require Your blessings to fulfill my wish.Based on Your advice I'll proceed. If everything goes well, I may require Vishnu Sahasranamam and Hayagreeeva Sthothram books in Hindi and Telugu. Please tell me from where can I get those books . Adiyan Daasoham, Kalyan Ramanuja Dasa Jai Srimannarayana !!!
Guest guest
kalyan rapolu, Jai Sriman NArAyana. Nice to hear that you are planning to chant VishuSahasranamam. I am from Pittsburgh. Guest guest
Priya Sriman Kalyanji! Jai Srimannaryana! We are happy for the interest you have in promoting the cause of devotion among your students groups. It is not necessary to chant all the sthothras by everybody. It depends upon many factors viz., time, need, circumstances and finally back-ground one has behind. There one need not insist upon others to do something. It should be with free will and should come from the bottom of the heart. Insistance always creates frustration and also many a time clashes and differences among intimate friends too. With regard to your own case, as the time permits students can chant anything. If some insist upon spending more time on many things, then, give priority to certain things like Sri Vishnu Sahasra nama sthothram. Then, if time permits let others do whatever they wish. If time permits to others they also will join, even otherwise let them do their own things. It means, you are making a few things mandatory. Other things are optional. Thus you can avoid a lot of confusion. Try and get back to us soon. OK! =Chinnajeeyar=
