Guest guest
Jaisrimannarayana! Jeeyar Thiruvadigale Saranam!! Brahma thought over it and told them thus, “I will give you an idea to eliminate that wicked Ravana. He sought the boon that he should not get death in the hands of gandharvas, yakshaas, devathas or rakshasas. The demon did not express about humans thinking they were too mean and low to be afraid of. Hence, his death eventually lies in the hands of human beings only. There is no other way.” On hearing his words the rishis’ joy knew no bounds. Ravana, with his ten heads, is like our manas. This body is the ‘Lanka’. Some times it is dominated by ‘satthava’guna and acts in a sa:tthvik manner. At other times it is under the influence of ‘rajo:guna’ and is rajasik and other times it is under the grip of ‘thamo:guna’ and works in tha:masik manner. In a person’s life ‘manas’ alone is responsible either for happiness or sorrow; for attachment or emancipation. The ‘I’ called athma belongs to Bhagavan alone and is for ‘His sake’ alone. It is Bhagavan’s unit (amsam) meaning that which is in union with Him but which can not be shown devoid of Him. That athma is proved as Sitha here. Sitha is Rama’s wife. It means she belongs to Rama, managed by Rama and lives for his eminence alone. All these three bonds are formed for a woman, with her husband, married under vows near the fire god. To be continued.... Jai Srimannarayana!! Ramanujamma Mudumbai Ramanuja Dasi
