Q - Naming:Jeeyar & Nihamantha Mahadesikan

Dear Friends,

As both thennacharya sampradaayis as well as vadakalaiyars accept Ramanuja

dharsanam, why do we have following differences?

1. Head of Thennacharya sampradayis name themselves as "Jeeyar"

2. Head of vadakalaiyars name as "nihamantha mahadesikan"

3. How is "vedantha mahadesikan" different from "nihamantha mahadesikan"?
