Q - Misunderstandings regarding "varunashrama"

With respect, I would like to submit this question:

 

I am confused about the "varunashrama" and how it came into being. From what I

have been taught, I understand that it was a segration of society based on

responsibilities. I can see how it became ingrained in the society due to

responsibilities passed on from one generation to another. What do our vedas,

upannishads, ithihasas and puranas say about this? Did people suffer from

discrimination in those days? What was Manu's motive in formulating

"varunashrama"? Going by Lord Rama and Lord Krishna's lives, they did not

practice any discrimination. Their "shousheelyam" was an example to others. So

how do we explain this terrible degradation that is afflicting our society?

START? BECAUSE, THERE IS SOME SORT OF CLASH AMONG THE SECTIONS. WHY THE CLASH?

BECAUSE, THERE IS SOME SORT OF MISUNDERSTANDING BETWEEN SECTIONS. WHY THAT

MISUNDERSTANDING? BECAUSE, SOME PEOPLE, BRITISHERS IN PARTICULAR, WANTED TO

DIVIDE THE SOCIETY, WHICH WAS APPEARING TO THEM, VERY MUCH STRONG ROOTED,

ANCIENT, WORSHIPPABLE CIVILIZATION, SELF-CONTENDED,UNITED, EXEMPLARY TO THE REST

OF THE WORLD ETC.,,,,.

 

THEY DID NOT WANT SOME OTHER SOCIETY SHOULD POSSESS THESE QUALITIES OTHER THAN

THEIRS'. BECAUSE IT IS THERE ALREADY, THEY TRIED THEIR LEVEL BEST TO KILL THIS

SOCIETY AT ALL COSTS & BY ALL MEANS, AS THEY DID WITH RED-INDIANS OF US,

ABBORIGINS OF AUSTRALIA AND SO ON.

 

WITH INDIAN, THEY FAILED IN THAT VENTURE. THEY FACED A LOT OF RESISTANCE. THEY

KNEW THAT THEY HAVE TO QUIT THE BHARAT ONE DAY. BUT THEIR AIM TO ROOT-OUT OTHER

CIVILIZATIONS SHOUD ALSO BE ACHIEVED. THEN THEY STARTED PLANNING TO BREAK IT

INTO PIECES. THEN THEY PLANNED TO DIVIDE & RULE. INTRODUCED DIFFERENT TYPES OF

EDUCATION, PROVIDED PHYSICAL COMFORTS, WHICH WE NEVER CRAVED FOR, MADE SLAVES TO

THEM.

 

TEMPTED SECTIONS OF THE SOCIETY TO FIGHT FOR THE EQUALITY. EQUALITY WILL NEVER

BE POSSIBLE AMONG ALL THE HUMAN BEINGS. WHITE AND BLACKS THOUGH LIVE IN THE SAME

COUNTRY WILL NEVER TREAT EACH EQUALLY. THE PRESIDENT OF THE COUNTYR AND THE

FARMER WILL NEVER BECOME EQUAL AT ANY COST.

 

AS YOU MENTIONED, DIVISION OF THE LABOUR FOR DIFFERENT ACTIVITIES MAY BE ONE OF

THE ASPECTS BETWEEN DIFFERENT SECTIONS. YET, CASTES WERE NOT CREATED BY JUST

MAN. IT COMES BY BIRTH NOT BY ACTION. NOW A DAYS, PEOPLE STARTED INTERPRETING

THEM IN THEIR OWN WAYS. WHICH THEY DO KNOW IS WRONG.

 

ALL THAT WE WANT, NOT REMOVING THE CASTES, BUT REMOVING THE CLASHES BETWEEN

CASTES. RELATION WITH GOD, IS THE MAIN CONCEPT OF THE (RELIGION, IF THE

TRANSLATION IS RIGHT) MATHAM, i.e., DOCTRINE. RELATIONSHIP THROUGH GOD EITHER BY

VISHNU OR SIVA OR SOME OTHER FORM. THIS WILL ULTIMATE SHOULD MAKE ALL SECTIONS

TO COME TOGETHER IN WORSHIPING THAT PARTICULAR FORM OF GOD.

 

UNFORTUNATELY, THAT ALSO CREATED MANY CLASHES. FIGHTING BETWEEN SAIVATES AND

VAISHNAVITES, VEDICS AND CHRISTIANS, CHRISTIANS AND MUSLIMS, MUSLIMS AND OTHERS

ETC., BUT THE FUN HERE IS VEDIC PEOPLE ACCEPT ALL OTHER FORMS OF WORSHIP ALSO

AS A SOURCE TO GET ULTIMATE REALIZATION IN A STEPPED MANNER. BUT IT IS SAD,

OTHER DOCTRINES OR RELIGIONS WILL NEVER ACCEPT THAT OTHER THAN THEM ALSO A WAY.

THEY ALL SAY THAT THEIRS IS ONLY 'THE WAY'. THIS IS SO IMMETURED IDEALOGY.

WHEREAS OUR VEDIC IDEALOGY IS HIGHLY MATURED WAY TO ACCEPT EVERY WAY AS A WAY.

 

TRY TO UNDERSTAND THIS. WE THINK,ATLEAST, SOME PART OF QUESTION IS ANSWERED.
