Sharma, who was on deputation to the Centre before his present appointment, took oath as EO at a simple ceremony inside the temple of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala yesterday. He also took oath as the ex-officio member secretary of Tirumala Tirupati Trust Board. Ajeya Kallam, the former Executive Officer, greeted Sharma and handed over charge to him.
