Guest guest
Dandavat Pranaams We are purchasing a new house and are setting aside one room specifically for worship. I would like to know on which side (North, South, East, West) of the room should Deities be placed, and in which direction They should ideally be facing? Some people tell me that Deities should be placed so that they are facing East, while others tell me that they should be placed on the East side facing West. I would like to know which way is definitely the correct one. Also, is there any scripture or other text which explicitly mentions this subject? Thanks in advance. Guest guest
Priya sriman Hari Krishnaji! JaiSrimannarayana! It is wonderful that you are allotting one place or room to deities also in your home, to take care of you. Yes house becomes Home when He will be the care taker. Let your home become an Abode of Him, to give good sankalpams & do good deeds. You should note that God will be in all directions. All that we need to know in which direction we should be. But no one question about it. OK! Facing which direction is the question, right? We suggest that God should look towards our house, let it be any direction. If it suites facing East or west, it will be nice, even otherwise, Let God be facing towards rest of the house, from the place wherever He is. =Chinnajeeyar= Placement of Murthis in the Home Dandavat Pranaams We are purchasing a new house and are setting aside one room specifically for worship.
