Guest guest
Srimathe Ramanujayanamaha! Jeeyar Thiruvadigale Saranam!! (continued 15th Sarga) Ravana symbolises rajo:guna and Kumbhakarna symbolises thamo:guna and he is always asleep. Vibheeshana represents the manas dominated by sathvaguna. This sathvaguna behaves positively towards Bhagavan. We should do away with the rajoguna dominated manas and thamoguna dominated manas and should own the 'sathva guna dominated manas'. This symbolises Ravana's elimination and Vibheeshana's coronation. A human being alone should try for this since he leads his life under the prime guidance of his manas. Hence Ravana's demise was destined at the hands of a human being in the story. SriRamayana illustrates what a human being should necessarily know to gain control over manas and how one should behave to achieve victory over one's manas. SriRamayanam means Sri Rama's story. 'Ayanam' means story. It is Rama's ayanam-- Rama's story --- that is Ramayanam. It denotes man's nature and behaviour. It enunciates Bhagavan's nature. Rama = Srirama , ayana = that which enables to attain him is 'this' story and so this story is named Ramayanam. Ramayanam specifies the truth - To conquer the enemy Ravana that is 'manas' and to achieve the goal of attaining Bhagavan, the means is Bhagavan Himself. Rama = Srirama , ayana = is the one to be attained ; is identified in this story and so it is called Ramayanam. To be continued.. Jaisrimannarayana! Ramanujamma Mudumbai.
