Guest guest
Sri Raghunandana Parabrahmane Namaha! Srimathe: Ramanujaya Namaha!! Lakshmana and Satrughna taught us how to enjoy artha and kaama (wealth and desires). These twins did not stay together. Lakshmana joined Rama and Satrughna joined Bharatha. When we think Lakshmana as ARTHA and Satrughna as KAAMA we have to enjoy artha along with Dharma, since Rama is dharma; and enjoy kaama coupled with moksha since Bharatha is moksha. If it is done so they lead to self enlightenment and benefit the self and the society. That is why Bharatha born next to Rama is put with Satrughna and Lakshmana is placed after Rama and we call them as "Rama Lakshmana Bharatha Satrughna". Dharma arthas are a pair and kaama mokshas another pair. Dharma Arthas are Rama Lakshmana and Kaama mokshas are Bharata Satrughna. They are teaching the mankind how to experience artha and kaama. If these two are coupled, a human being's life attracts retribution from all. The world despises one - who does not attach kaama with moksha but diverts it towards mundane pleasures. All the residents of Ayodhya despising materialistic and greedy Kaikaeyi reveals this secret. She tried to provide "artha" to her son by sending Rama, the embodiment of dharma, to the woods. So also Ravana who did not join kaama with moksha but solely limited it for sensuous pleasures was abused by the world. Hence the story of Sri Ramayana establishes to the humanity - how one can utilize the artha and kaama in his life to lead a happy life as long as on this earth and then attain moksha. (In the next posting...) Jeeyar Thiruvadigale Saranam! Jai Srimannarayana! Ramanujamma Mudumbai, ramanujadasi.
