Many great souls comparable to the mounts of Mandara and Meru in might and tenacity were born to different species of vanaras and rukshas. All those thus born inherited the shape, getup and the valour of the devatha that fathered them. Many vanaras were also born with the amsaas of Kimpurushaas, Siddhaas, Vidyaadharaas, Gandharvaas and maharshis. They were all born to apsaraas, vidyaadhara ladies, naga ladies and gandharva women. They all possessed the power to attain any form they wanted to and were capable of going anywhere effortlessly. Stones and trees were their tools of attach. Their weapons were their nails and teeth only. They had the strength to move and crush any mountain. They could travel on foot anywhere on this earth, swim across the oceans and travel in space to any destination. They were strong enough to subdue the wild elephants in the jungles. Such strong and capable vanaras who were kamarupis were born in million. Among them some became the leaders and managed vanara army. All the vanaras agreed to Sugriva, son of Sun god and Vali, Indra's son as the their Generals. Vali was the king for the whole community of vanaras. He had ministers like Nala, Neela and Hanuman. Sugriva was the 'yuvaraj. Vali had enormous strength. He was protecting his subjects from all troubles with his courage. All these vanaras were spread out on this earth in the mountain ranges, forests and oceans. Thus the vanara army was created for serving SriRama. (17th sarga concluded..) Jai Srimannarayana!
