Guest guest
Sri Raghunandana ParabrahmaNe Namaha! Srimathe Ramanujayanamaha!! Kausalya became resplendent with the joy of being with her son - like once Adithi did for being with Vaamana. Rama shone with a rare radiance like he alone is the giver of light and is the ‘sun’ to the sun god himself. So Kausalya was in exultant happiness. Vishnu’s fourth part Bharatha took birth as Kaikeyei’s son. He was born in the ‘Pushyami’ star and ‘Meena Lagna’. As he was born in this lagna he was endowed with a calm and cool mentality. Lakshmana and Satrughna were born to Sumitra. It was evident from the time of their birth that they both were valiant and own the expertise in weaponry. These four were the four parts of One Vishnu. The star in the sky ‘Pro:shttapada’ is like four stars, resembling the four feet of a cow, but that is only one. Similarly though they were four, they were the amsa of Vishnu. Ve:dave:dya Sri Mahavishnu took incarnation in four forms to establish ‘dharma’ in this world as recommended by Veda and to eradicate ‘adharma’. A month is called ‘Chaitra’, when the star happens to be Chitta, on the full moon day of that month. It is the first month in the Solar and the Lunar calendar as well. Born in that first month SriRama is regarded as the first and the role model (ideal) for the entire mankind. Adithi is the presiding deity for the star Punarvasu. Kaashyapa is the father for both Devathas and Rakshasas. He had two wives, Dithi and Adithi. Dithi’s children were Rakshasas and Adithi’s were devathas. This difference was due to the difference in their attitudes. Dithi means discrimination and Adithi means nondiscrimination. With the knowledge that Bhagavan is the indweller of every thing as Atma and regarding this universe as ONE without any discrimination – is Adithi’s nature. On the contrary, Dithi’s attitude is – giving this body prime importance, and since bodies are various and of varied nature – showing discrimination towards things in the universe. So Srirama inherited the noble nature and perceived the world without any differentiation. Since he was born on the navami thitthi, he never lost his originality and equanimity however disturbing the situation may be. When number 9 is multiplied by any other number, if the digits in the resultant product are added, they give number 9. It’s a peculiar number. This shows Sri Rama’s unaffected and composed nature. As the sastras codify – when five planets are exalted the person becomes a popular world leader – Rama naturally is the Supreme – the ‘Jagannaatha’. In his incarnation too he became the Head. (to be continued.....) Jai srimannarayana! Jeeyar Thiruvadigale Saranam!! Ramanujamma Mudumbai,Ramanujadaasi.
