Statement of Janata Party President Dr. Subramanian Swamy

July 5, 2005

Boston, USA

The terrorist attack on Ayodhya, although foiled and failed, is a further

indication that the Hindu foundation of India is under attack from foreign

nefarious forces. The idea is to demoralise the Hindus, make them feel impotent

and to lose self-esteem, so that a bigger overt attack in the form of induced

conversions to other faiths can be facilitated. This has happened before in

Indian history.

I had already warned that the bogus cases filed against the Kanchi

Shankaracharyas was for testing the waters for the passivity of Hindus and their

incapacity to unite in the face of common danger.

The Ayodhya attempted attack was just an escalated test of the resolve of Hindus

to defend the foundation of India.

Hence, I demand that the UPA government which is responsible for the present

official promiscuity in permitting fraud foreign preachers such as Benny Hinn to

receive government patronage and debunk Hinduism, to show that it is not an

anti-Hindu government by taking effective retaliatory action against those

forces, once the dead terrorists in Ayodhya are identified. If they were

Pakistan trained then the terrorist camps in that country must be bombed by

retaliatory air strikes if President Musharraf himself does not do so.

Let Manmohan Singh realise that he is a descendent of Guru Gobind Singh and a

respresentative of a billion Indians, and not an impotent nominee of Sonia

Gandhi.
