Successor of ext Jeeyar soon

 

Kancheepuram, July 21: The process of finding a successor to the Embar Ramanuja

Jeeyar Mutt of Sriperumbudur, will commence 'after a while', a top Mutt official

said here today.

 

The Embar Mutt Jeeyar, Appan Vishu Sidha Ramanuja Jeeyar, passed away on July

13, and was interred in the 'Jeeyar Thoppu', two days later. He was 90.

The 'Aradhanai' ceremony, which includes the obsequies, would be held from

tomorrow for three days.

 

The process of selecting the next Jeeyar would then be set in motion by members

of the Embar Ramanuja Trust, the official added. (Agencies)
