Arrange chariots, Palanquins and various other transportations for travel right away. Organize them in such a way that, Vashishta, Vamadeva, Jaabali, Kashyapa and very old Maarkandeya and Kathyayana will travel in the front. As Janaka's ministers are in a rush to take us back, arrange chariots for us without wasting time." On completion of all arrangements, for all the royal priests, King and queens, ministers etc. they started their journey. With the whole army accompanying them, after traveling four days they reached Mithila. Once king Janaka learnt of their arrival, he joyfully went to receive them with honors. Then delighted Janaka said to Dasaratha, "King Dasaratha, and a hearty welcome to you. You will be very pleased to see your two valiant sons. Our providence and my lineage are glorified with the arrival of sage Vashishta along with numerous eminent Brahmans to our city. It is our fortune that, we are going to have a relationship with the splendid and valorous people of Raghu dynasty. Tomorrow morning we will complete yajna and then with the blessing from all the sages we will conduct the marriage of Sitha and Rama." Considering Janaka's words Dasaratha said, "You are the bride's father and we will assist completely to get this auspicious function conducted properly." Listening Dasaratha's humble words, king of Videha was extremely delighted. All the sages were pleased with this great union of two kings and spent that night there happily. When Rama and Lakshmana came to give their respects to their fathers, King Dasaratha was highly rejoiced and they talked all night about their adventures.
