Guest guest Posted September 2, 2005 Report Share Posted September 2, 2005 TTD to organise Veda conference in Tirumala: Tirupati, Sep 2 : The Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) is planning to organise a two-day Veda conference at the national level in November next. TTD Trust Board Chairman T Subburami Reddy, informed this to reporters at Tirumala, the abode of Lord Venkateswara, about 27 km from here after presiding over the board meeting. Sanskrit scholars and Veda experts would be invited for the conference to be held at Tirumala. The exact date would be announced later, he added. The TTD would arrange for telecast of the recorded programmes of the Devasthanams with the assistance of Doordarsan, Mr Reddy said, adding that two-third of the cost would be met by TTD through donors. Already, the TTD had arranged broadcast of the morning rituals of the Sri Venkateswara temple through the Tirupati station of the All India Radio.
