JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 13- The teachings of Shri mad

Bhagwat Geeta are most relevant in the prevailing

global socio-economic environment created by the blind

race of technological development responsible for

mounted stress and strain on human mind which has made

entire human race a slave of mechanical age.

This was stated by Swami Narayan Sayeeji at his

day-long sermon delivered before about 40,000 to

50,000 devotees at saint Shri Asa Ram Bapuji's ashram

at Bhagwati Nagar today. In his enlightening, thought

provoking and breath takingly impressive parvachan,

Swami ji cautioned the people against excessive

indulgence in the worldly affairs and materialistic

kingdom which has changed entire human race in a

living machine. Referring to the sermons of Lord

Krishna to Arjun, Swami ji reiterated that the human

beings have to make actions without expectations of

the results. He said that our good or bad actions or

karmas decide our destiny.

Swami Narayan Sayee ji while speaking on the theory of

Jaap (repeated remembrance of Almighty) said that it

is much easier to renounce desire than to fulfill

them. He said that we have to depend on people and

circumstances to fulfill our desires because after

fulfillment of some desires, new desires crop up which

become the source of disappointment and trouble for

the human beings. While commenting on the immediate

action of Mantras, Swami ji said that chanting of a

Mantra is strictly a scientific process involving

regulation if electro magnetic, spiritual and sound

waves in a particular way cutting in nothing

sensations. He said that Guru sewa is the greatest of

all virtues for which our country is known the world

over. Through Guru sewa, a disciple achieves perfect

peace of mind, which is reflected through his external

actions which brings peace, tranquility and solace in

the society.

Swami ji in his sermon said that one should not ask

the God for worldly things but the biggest demand

should be salvation. He said that all the religions of

the world teach lesson of brotherhood, peace, harmony

and mutual co-existence. The turmoils, terrorism,

agonies, pains and nightmares are happening in the

world because most of us do not act upon the messages

of our respective religions. The world will become

heaven if all of us trek on the path shown by our

religious teachers. He said that the complete solution

of eradicating terrorism from society lies in

practicing our respective religions in letter and

spirit. Swami ji asked the people to devote some time

daily in remembering His name, doing Jap, reading

religious scriptures and helping the poor and needy.

Swami ji said that every year Spiritual Shivars would

be held on Baisakhi in Jammu in which devotees would

be given lectures and demonstrations in Dhian Yoga.

The function ended with mass chanting of Hari Om.
