Yesterday was the Aipasi, thIrthavAry for thiruvananthapuram SrIpadmanAbhaswami

perumAl, among the temple festivals, it is the major brahmosthavam, still being

the royal temple, the temple procession is guarded by one batalian of kerala

police, and one batalian of kuthirai police, along with traditional warriors,

headed by the maharaja himself the maharaja, is known as kulaSEkharaperumAl, is

the desendend of kulaSEkhara Azhwar.

Here are a couple of pics, so its poor clarity. but still you can see perumal,

in tholukkiniyan, with garudavahanam, left is azhagiyasingar, and right is the

ambadi kannan, mUrthis, with in the temple itself and the old man with a sword

leading the procession (with a green cap) is the maharaja or travancore. the

thirtha vari is done at the arabian sea.
