Summary in short: In this pasuram A:nda:l says - Those who enjoy living on this Earth! Listen to the things we do in our Vratham! Let us sing the glories of the Lotus feet of Parama:thma Lord Srimanna:ra:yana (supreme God) who is taking rest in the milky ocean. During this Vratham, We take shower in the early morning. We don’t take any food preparations made of milk and Ghee. We shall not line our eyes with collyrium (a black paste, Ka:tuka), nor do we adorn our hair with garlands / flowers. We shall never do the things that were not accepted by our elders, nor do we go to others to carry tales and speak badly about anybody or anything. We shall practice to generously do charity to the extent possible and give alms in full measure to the saints and Sanyasis. Listen to the things we need to do, let’s rejoice! Thinking the ultimate path! This is our vratham, let us follow! Inner meaning of few words in pasuram: 1. Thiruvadi (feet) of the supreme God is Acharya (we should know everything about our great Acharyas & memorize them sharing with others) 2 In spiritual language ghee is devotion that a soul should posses to attain ultimate bliss of God (Ghee is taken out of milk) but go:da de:vi says that We are not going to accept any means by ourselves to attain except god by himself. 3. We should do charity as a hand of God leaving ego (since we didn’t bring anything with us as we enter into this world & can’t carry something with us while leaving too), (except the results of our action & mind behind every action) Etc... a:nda:l thiruvadigale: saranam emberuma:na:r thiruvadigale: saranam Jeeyar thiruvadigale: saranam A:charya divya thiruvadigale: saranam !
