Summary in short: Mother A:nda:l is instructing the demi god, Varuna, who is the god of rains, teaching him how to rain and in which sequence and to what extent and in what style for what result, he should carryout all his activities. She says, O' Varuna Deva, the God of Rains! You should never hesitate to rain, which is in your nature. You dive into the depths of the ocean, drink lots of water, fill your body and then making big thunderous sound you pervade through out the sky. Like the body of Primeval Lord Srimannarayana who is the creator of all the things and the time, you make your body black. Like that of the dazzling discus in the right hand of the beautiful broad shouldered Lord Narayana, you flash the lightening and, like the Conch in the left hand of the Lord, you make a big sound of sustained stable thundering and like the rain of arrows released from the bow of the Lord, you make the waters to fall as rain, and, the rains bring only happiness to the people on this Earth and also we can take a shower in it as a part of our vow (Vratham), you now rain without any delay! Inner meaning: Go:dadevi teaches us to accept God in every thing around us & also teaches us to feel His divine qualities in each & every object in this Universe and makes us realize that we should never compare the beauty of God with objects, which are created by Him (which is like insulting god-- we never compare a King with his servants) a:nda:l thiruvadigale: saranam emperuma:na:r thiruvadigale: saranam Jeeyar thiruvadigale: saranam A:charya divya thiruvadigale: saranam !
