Summary in short: In this song A:nda:l is showing us the way to the Lord with the greatest and easiest way. Lord Krishna who was born in the Northern part of Mathura, to save those who worship Him, is the one with the divine characters and heavenly powers. He is the king of Mathura, a place that is always associated with the Lord. Lord Krishna is the one who always plays on the banks of the holy river Yamuna. He is like a glowing sacred lamp, born in the cowherds’ community! He is the one, Dhamodhara, who glorified the womb of his mother. We should worship this Lord Sri Krishna, with pure love, by not seeking any other benefits from Him, by sprinkling the fragrant flowers, by singing His glory (Kalya:na Guna:s), thinking about Him constantly in our hearts, i.e., meditate on Him, (hence all the sins which are accumulated (sanchitha Pa:pa:s) and the sins that are about to happen, they will get burnt like cotton in fire. Let us sing His holy names. Inner meaning: Go:da Devi says that if we have love for God in our heart we can tie him up to our hearts like Dhamodhara (who got tied up by His mother (surrendered to love and devotion). Once we tie him in our heart all our sins will vanish without trace and make us attain the grace of the supreme God forever! a:nda:l thiruvadigale: saranam emberuma:na:r thiruvadigale: saranam Jeeyar thiruvadigale: saranam A:charya divya thiruvadigale: saranam !
