Guest guest
Jai Srimannarayana! Wishing all the readers a very happy and prosperous UGADI. Praying Lord SriRama to strengthen our will to follow our A:cha:ryaswamji's footsteps and move forward in this VYAYANAAMA SAMVATSARA. Sri: Raghunandana Parabrahmane: Namaha! Jeeyar Thiruvadigale Saranam!! (19th sarga) This Sri Rama is the Parabrahma as mentioned by Sruthi: ‘Ve:da:hame:tham purusham maha:ntham’. 149 Valmiki has rewritten the veda manthra as a normal sloka. ‘Ve:da = Ve:dmi; aham; Maha:ntham purusham = maha:thma:nam ra:mam’ --- thus changing the order of the words of that manthra, he reveals he knew that the Parathathva enunciated in the sruthi:s is Rama Himself. In saying ‘maha:thma:na:m ramam’ he expressed that the ‘Maha:thma Rama’ is the ‘Para:thpara’ who came down to be easily accessible to us. A:thma has three meanings – ji:va, body and attitude. He is the maha:thma because he dwells as a:thma for all the athma:s. Though he has a body, His is not the one prone to changes under the effect of nature. It is divine. He would give protection to anyone whoever seeks refuge at his feet even before noticing who he was or from whom was he facing danger. That is his nature. Valmiki retold the veda manthra ‘ ve:da:ha me:tham purusham maha:ntham’ as ‘aham ve:dmi maha:thma:nam ra:mam’. Thus speaking he had the knowledge that Rama is the Parathathva, Valmiki also mentions he is ‘sathyapara:krama’. His valour is always the same. It has nothing to do with his age. It is not at a low level because he is young and would go up with age. It is always in the same degree. He is sathyapara:krama. He gains victory over his enemies with his valour but never goes back from the war field. Not only that, he can conquer his opponents with his truthfulness, can subdue even the higher worlds. That is why he, being a human being, could award mo:ksha to Jata:yu saying ‘gachha lo:ka:n anuththama:n’. To be contd….. Jai Srimannarayana! Ramanujamma Mudumbai, Ramanujadasi.
