The organisation, started in 2002, has 400 branches in the State and was striving to assist the downtrodden and poorer sections and safeguarding their wealth, he said at Busetty Kalyanamantapam. It was also conducting eye and dental camps for children and serving visually impaired persons, the Swamiji said. Vikas Tarangini adopted the earthquake-hit Vallabhapur village in Gujarat and built 86 houses for homeless families and assisted tsunami-hit persons in 2004, Chinna Jeeyar Swamy asserted. Stating that service to humans was service to God, he stressed the need for preserving the environment. He thanked Arya Vysya Sabha president Busetty Ramamohana Rao for playing a vital role in setting up Vikas Tarangini centre at Proddatur.
