Guest guest
Srimathe: Ramanujaya Namaha!! Brahma suthras were composed by Bhagavan Vedavyas. He was also called Ba:dara:yana. Many commentaries were gifted to the world by renowned a:cha:ryas based on the philosophies they believed. 1.Sri Sankara Bhagavathpa:da wrote ‘Sankarabha:shya’ based on advaitha philosophy. 2.Bhaskara:charya composed ‘Bhaskarabha:shya’ based on Oupa:dhika Bhe:da:bhe:da philosophy in 10th century. 3.Bhagavad Ramanuja in 11th century gifted the world a treatise called ‘Sri:bha:shya’ corroborating the visishta:dwaitha philosophy. 4. Nimba:rka:cha:rya wrote ‘Ve:da:ntha pa:rija:tha sourabham’ in 12th c. based on Swa:bha:vika bhe:da:bheda doctrine. 5.SriMadhva:cha:rya composed ‘Pu:rna prajna bha:shyam’ in 13th C. 6.Sri Kantta:cha:rya wrote ‘Saiva bha:shyam’ based on saiva visishta:dwaitha philosophy in 13th c. 7.Sripathi a:cha:rya wrote ‘Sri:kara bha:shyam’ based on veera saiva visishta:dwaitham in 14th c. 8.Vallabha:cha:rya wrote ‘Anubha:shyam’ based on the doctrine of suddha:dwaitham in 15th C. 9.Vijna:na Bhikshu composed in 17th C. ‘Jna:na:mruthabha:shyam’ illustrating the philosophy of avibha:ga:dwaitha’. 10.Balade:va wrote in 18th C. a commentary ‘Govindabha:shyam’ based on the philosophy of achinthya bhe:da:bhe:dam. Among the above ten commentaries, Bhagavad Ramanuja’s stands supreme on the top with the explanations based on vedavedantha, sastrapuranas, ithihasas expounding the Visishta:dwaitha philosophy – it is like a guide with a powerful torch directing and guiding the true seekers on the correct path to salvation. Jai srimannarayana! Ramanujadasi.
