Guest guest
Sri Raghunandana parabrahmane namaha! Srimathe: Ramanujaya namaha!! (20th sarga) Dasaratha regains consciousness after a while and tries to convince Viswamithra that he has no objection to send his son with him but afraid that he would not be useful to him. ‘U:nasho:dasa varsho:me: ra:mo: ra:ji:valo:chanaha | na yuddha yo:gyatha: masya pasya:mi sahara:kshasaihi || “My Rama has not even completed sixteen years. His eyes are like lotus flowers. I don’t think he is eligible to fight with the rakshasas.” ‘me: ra:maha’ = My Rama does not know to stay away from me even for a while. So he can’t leave me. Not only that, he is not even sixteen. If he is sixteen he might be capable to fight the rakshasas, then he is just twelve now. What war at this age? That too with the rakshasas…..Is it possible? How can I leave my child whom I got after I performed the yajna, that too after waiting for kids for sixty thousand years? Rama gives happiness to all naturally. How can I explain to you the delight I derive in his presence? How can a small playful kid go to war field? Even if I gather courage and send him, it may not benefit you. His eyes are like lotus flowers. Not in beauty but in nature! The lotuses close their petals with sunset and blossom only with sunrise. My Rama is like that only. My Rama’s eyes close with sunset. They open only after sunrise. Your yajna is hindered by rakshasas. They are ‘nisa:chara:s’. They work only during nights. Rama sleeps during night. So how will Rama be useful to you? I feel he is not fit for battle. If you want, I will come with an ‘akshouhini’ of army and fight with them. My soldiers are brave and fearless. So, it is not fair to take Rama with you. ‘na ra:mam ne:thu marhasi’” (20th sarga concluded.) To be contd….. Jai Srimannarayana! Ramanujamma Mudumbai, Ramanujadasi.
