Guest guest
Asmad gurubhyo:namaha! Na:ra:yano-pi vikrutham ya:thi guroh prachyuthasya durbudhheh| Kamalanjala:dape:tham so:shayathi ravirnatho:shayathi|| If one does not take refuge at the lotus feet of a:cha:rya with full belief, even Bhagavan would not care to bless him ----- like the sun that desiccates a lotus flower separated from water. 1.“guro:h pa:da:mbujam dhyaye:th” – Meditate focussing on the lotus feet of a:cha:rya. 2.“guro:h va:kya:ni sra:vayeth” – One has to contemplate on the sri:su:kthis of acharya and also narrate them to others in an interesting manner. 3.“gurum praka:saye:th dhi:ma:n” – One has to spread the splendor of guru’s name, form, qualities and nature. 4.“guro:ranyam na bha:vaye:th” – think of your own guru only in your mind. (Listening to various things would confuse one and there is every possibility of losing track of one’s own goal.) Sruthi says, “ sahi vidya:thastham janayathi, thath sreshtam janma, sari:rameva ma:tha:pitharou janayathaha” --- Parents give birth only to the body; Guru blesses with a wonderful ‘Jna:na janma’. So, ‘de:vamiva a:cha:ryamupa:si:tha’ – do upa:sana of guru as Lord’s upa:sana. “a:cha:rya de:vo:bhava” – Always have a:cha:rya as the Bhagavan himself. So says the veda. Jaisrimannarayana! Ramanujadasi.
